Trailer Video Ideas

So I don't like having a normal video as my trailer because to me the trailer should tell people about my channel. But I am not sure how I should go about doing that, I could make a short animation, voice over some game play clips, or do something silly... and I am thinking something silly would rock! But I am not sure what, so just my random thoughts on trying to make my channel more friendly. If you have any ideas let me know!
